I attended an International Program Committee (IPC) meeting at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden for IFAC World Congress 2026 Busan. Dr. Hyosung Ahn (GIST) is the IPC chair and Dr. Hyounjin Kim (SNU) is the IPC co-chair. I am the IPC vice chair general.

Drs Ahn, Kim, and Hyungbo Shim (general chair) gave an overview of IFAC world congress 2026 which will be held in Busan, Korea. In the meeting, chairs, coordinating committees (CC) and technical committees (TC) discussed overall organization, plans and programs of the world congress.

FYI, The IFAC World Congress is a major international event organized by the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), bringing together experts in automatic control to share the latest research and advancements. The International Program Committee (IPC) is crucial to the congress, overseeing the selection of papers and organizing technical sessions. Composed of leading experts, the IPC ensures the quality and relevance of the presentations and discussions.

As a side note, I have a habit to run wherever I visit. I ran about 9km in the morning and due to nice weather and fresh air, it wasn't hard at all.
